For Nominating Committee
Please describe your ideas for succession planning for future Zonta leaders and how you will identify, engage and recruit candidates.
Inviting quality and committed members to clubs is important. A luncheon, coffee, or guesting in a GMM to see if a guest finds congruence in her values and in the mission and vision of Zonta. This will easily lead to a recruit. This will also give members a chance to vet a possible member. Nurturing new and seasoned Zontians needs to be constant. Sometimes, a quiet seasoned member is inspired to be the next president!
Knowledge is influence. Educate on Zonta 101. They’ll find out how advocacy can lead to meaningful service and connections. Zonta International & District websites are sources of engagement.
Everyone likes to belong. An inspired Zontian opens her heart and mind to be a leader someday. They will identify with a role model. Mentor potential leaders. Listen to their ideas and assure them of a safe space for growth.
Growth and preparation at the club level and watching out for committed members help develop future leaders. Having a president-elect prepares the next trainee. A person with a sense of purpose and passion will be willing to step out of their comfort zone and lead.
