What are your goals for advancing the objects of Zonta International in District 17 and concrete programs to accomplish?

I believe in giving back to the basic Zonta mission – to stand for women’s rights and advocate for equality, education and an end to child marriage and gender-based violence. The programs required to accomplish these are unique to the community that a Zonta club serves, but I would look to clubs to consider issues such as:

  • Disadvantaged women and their self-sufficiency, upward mobility and empowerment
  • Discrimination and unconscious bias in the workplace and work place equality
  • Sexual harassment in the workplace
  • Wellbeing – issues of abuse and impact on mental and physical health due to the pandemic

What special competencies and attributes do you possess which qualify you to serve in the position you are nominated for?

  • Team player – understand the importance of cooperation and collaboration
  • Leadership – bringing out the best in the team utilizing skills and understanding personalities and empathy; I am the President of the K Federation of Women Lawyers which plays an important role in the legal community in HK
  • Experience – experienced Zontian; well acquainted with Zontians within and outside my Club
  • Belief – belief in equity and empowerment for women - I have been invited to speak at event sharing women workplace experience
  • Passion – buy-in to causes I believe in and ability to generate passion in others
