Achievements as a Zontian

Since 2015, I actively participated in many programs/projects and activities across all levels (Club, Area 1, and District 17). With my deep sense of commitment, I took the cudgel as Club President (2020-2022). During my presidency, the club implemented 63 projects, five of which are flagship programs that are sustained up to the present. The vibrancy of the Zonta spirit among our members was greatly felt by all the stakeholders, especially the women and girls of the communities we served, which in turn garnered three prestigious awards in AREA 1, the Diamond Award for Outstanding Club, Educations and Leadership Development.

Responsibilities of position :

As company Vice President, I am in-charge of the operations and decision making. I plan ahead of time and handle the Financial aspect of the company.

Contribution of business/professional experience to the effective performance of positions:

As company Vice President, I am involved in operations and strategic activities which serve as my platforms upon which I build competencies and skill sets necessary in serving as Area Director.

My business experience and the expertise I have acquired in specific aspects are notably significant. For instance, my acumen in organizational development can reinforce the Area 1 club’s initiatives in project development and implementation. I can share the skills and tools in funds generation and financial management which are necessary in generating more funds for the Zonta Funds for Women and for Area 1 projects’ fund requirements, when warranted.

What are your goals for advancing the objects of Zonta International in District 17 and concrete programs to accomplish?

• I am completely aligned to achieving the vision of Zonta in building a better future for women and girls and I fully commit to carry on the defined objects of Zonta International.
• Priority program/project that I intend to pursue:
  • Climate change prevention and environment protection through seminars to raise awareness, provision of inputs, tools, and resources, trainor’s training.
  • Advocacies and actions against gender-based violence.
  • Advocacy and actions to address early marriages and teenage pregnancy and,
  • Education for women and girls through scholarship, continuing learning, and skills training for women in health, entrepreneurship/livelihood, financial literacy, etc.
