My dear fellow Zontians:
Welcome! The 22nd District 17 Conference is a significant milestone in the history of Zonta International and it gives me great pride to have been appointed Chairman of the Organizing Committee by DG Lia Bautista with marching order to bring you a memorable and unique Conference experience.
Together with three experienced Zontians, Past International President Olivia Ferry and two Past International Directors, Dandy Gomez & Virma Vergel de Dios and a host of dedicated and hard-working conference volunteers, we will do just that.
For our new members, this conference presents a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and professionals from various Zonta clubs. For our old members, it is a chance to enhance past acquaintances, reignite old friendships and strengthen our bonds.
After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we are returning to a semblance of normalcy, often referred to as the "new normal." During the conference, we will have the flexibility to meet each other face to face, online, or in a hybrid format in order to engage in discussions, share innovative ideas and learn from one another.
Drawing inspiration from the best practices of other Zonta clubs, many of you will discover that you, too, can create your own distinctive impact and become role models for others.
The business sessions will be rich, engaging, and highly instructive, ensuring that delegates actively participate in discussing critical topics such as climate change and educating women on gender-based violence. Be counted as we offer you the opportunity to influence the future direction of the organization and elect our leaders for the next biennium.
Prepare yourselves for both work and fun as we indulge in "A Bridgerton Affair." We hope to be the talk of the town as we mingle around in Regency-inspired off-shoulder gowns or stylish satin corset tops and wide-leg pants.
To make your stay truly remarkable, you will enjoy 6-star amenities and delectable cuisine, courtesy of the Grand Hyatt Hotel at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. We have prepared a variety of tours that will leave you with a sun-kissed glow when you return to your home country. Experience the breathtaking El Nido Palawan at Miniloc Island Resort, rejuvenate at the serene Pico de Loro.
We warmly invite you to participate in this significant event and together help us build a better world for women and girls. Because, as the inspiring words of PIP Olivia Ferry remind us, “ when you educate and capacitate a woman, you achieve the double dividend of capacitating not only herself, but also her children, her family and her whole community.”
Register now for the District 17 Conference and be part of the transformative journey towards achieving a better world for women because a better world for women is a better world.
